The first international photo and film festival of the Journey of Love focusing on the Arbaeen Pilgrimage and the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (pbum) will be held from October 23 to October 27, 2017 in the holy cities of Mashhad and Karbala. Two months passed the call for entries the festival has received a strong response from Iranian and international artists and filmmakers.
According to the festival’s public relations, the festival has received about 3500 entries in different domestic and international sections, which is quite impressive for an event taking place for the first time.
In the domestic section the festival has issued the following report regarding the 2700 received entries:
Screenplay: 72 long screenplays, 91 short screenplays, 17 sequence of love, 28 entries on Martyr Hojaji, and a total number of 208 entries in the screenplay section.
Photography: 596 photographs from 134 professional photographers and 1437 photographs from 250 amateur photographers and a total number of 2033 photographs from 384 photgraphers.
Television series and films: 21 movies, 32 feature films, 48 short films, 10 series, 29 feature documentaries, 229 short documentaries, 57 video clips, 38 animations, and in total 464 entries in this section.
In the international section the following report has been issued:
354 short and feature films, 180 short and feature documentaries, 88 animations, 103 video clips, 44 screenplays, 80 photographs and in total 777 entries from 83 countries.
